On Goebbels, big lies and Gaza

"Why will YOU not be the one to call for an honest investigation from Hamas?"

Banner Icon When Palestinian academic Abdalhadi Alijla called Israel’s military operations in Gaza genocide, he received a prompt response from Israeli professor Josef Olmert. Then came another response from Alijla. In this final reply, Olmert compares the argument of his colleague with that of Goebbels.

Abdalhadi Alijla hesitated before responding to my rebuttal of his genocide diatribe against Israel. Well, thankfully he overcame his aversion to debate with “Zionists” and honored me and the readers with a repetition of the genocide charge. It was Joseph Goebbels who told us all that if you repeat a lie as much as you can, you stand a chance of convincing your audience, and, in the process, make sure that the lie is as big as possible, in fact, the bigger, the better.

So, Abdalhadi Alijla follows suit. Why not? Write what Hamas expects you to, otherwise who knows what can happen? Over 20 poor Gazans did not buy Hamas propaganda, so the terrorists executed them in public in front of thousands of cheering people, without a trial, near a mosque, and right after the worshippers left the Friday prayers.

No need to blame ALL Muslims and ALL Palestinians for this atrocity. The truth is, that those who did it are the ones who debase the great religion of Islam, they are the ones who give bad name to some Palestinian factions, Hamas, for example.

"Write what Hamas expects you to, otherwise who knows what can happen?"

Abdalhadi Alijla, where do YOU exactly stand about that? You challenged me about Israelis shouting ‘’death to the Arabs’’. No need to challenge me – I condemn them, they are not my friends, but enemies of humanity and peace.

Well, my esteemed colleague, where stand YOU?

Yes, Abdalhadi Alijla, Gideon Levy is an Israeli journalist and he supports Hamas. He has the right to be wrong, this is what democracy is all about, and no, he is not going to be executed in public, or at all. This is what makes Israel strong, and this is what makes Hamas weak. Those who are afraid of the truth, those who execute in public are those who lightly use the word genocide. They are the ones who know one or two things about genocide, and they can talk about the real genocides that take place nowadays in the Middle East, but they do not. Hundreds of thousands are slaughtered in Libya, Iraq and Syria, hundreds are beheaded and where are YOU Abdalhadi Alijla?

Well, these are “our” guys, those that we share the same ideology with, so why bother?

Ethnic cleansing? Go over there and see for yourself! And no, all of the above is NOT to justify any unnecessary killing by Israel, it is NOT to say, that if the Arab and Muslim heroes of Abdalhadi Alijla commit genocides and acts of ethnic cleansing, why raise hell if Israel is killing Palestinians. It is simply a decent attempt to distinguish between real genocidal and ethnic cleansing situations, and the unfortunate horrors of a war, in which also innocent people are victims. Victims of unscrupulous terrorists, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Popular Resistance committees in Gaza.

So, Abdalhadi Alijla, what say you about all that?

I wrote before that there should and would be an honest Israeli inquiry about alleged erroneous deaths in Gaza. Does anyone expect it by Hamas? Why not you, Abdalhadi Alijla, I do believe that you are an honest person, a fearless advocate of human rights. Why will YOU not be the one to call for such an investigation? Surely, you cannot be concerned about any adverse reaction from Hamas, after all they execute only “traitors” in public?

But then, how do we know that EVEN Hamas knows that there was no genocide in Gaza? Well, they congregated thousands in the streets and celebrated their “victory”. Victory and genocide? It does not make any sense.

No Jews celebrated a victory in the Warsaw Ghetto in May 1943, simply because NO Jews were left alive. Genocide, Abdalhadi Alijla? Hatred and more hatred, and this hatred has been and continues to be the REAL, BIG enemy of the Palestinian people.
