What would you do with 79,000 packs of food?

Employees at Sharp built the world's largest packaged food mosaic, winning a new Guinness record to the United Arab Emirates.

Measuring 24.7x38.6 m, the mosaic was put together by 149 employees from Sharp Middle East & Africa. Following the completion, the donated all the 79,300 packages of food, worth AED 107,480, to the Emirates Red Crescent Society.

“Sharp’s initiative demonstrates how large corporations can successfully contribute to those in need while bringing immense pride to the nation. We are extremely grateful...for their donation as contributions of this scale is what makes a real difference to our ongoing efforts to help those in need within the UAE,” said Mohammed Abdullah Alhaj Al Zaroni, Manager – Dubai branch, Emirates Red Crescent Society.

This paricular world record was previously held in Hong Kong, where a packaged food mosaic measuring 20.7x30.9 was created in 2009.
