Three French UN troops wounded in Lebanon blast

Three French soldiers serving with the UN force in Lebanon were wounded on Tuesday in a blast targeting their vehicle in the southern coastal city of Sidon, a security official told AFP.

"The blast took place as the car was travelling along the coastal road, near the southern entrance of the city," said the official, who did not wish to be identified.

An AFP correspondent at the scene said the soldiers sustained wounds to the face and hands and that one of them was transported to hospital.
