Syria's Assad sees Arab League chief

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad Saturday held talks with the head of the Arab League, Nabil al-Arabi, the official SANA news agency reported.

The leader of the 22-member pan-Arab body arrived in the Syrian capital on a visit that had been originally scheduled for Wednesday, bearing a 13-point plan aimed at ending a bloody crackdown on anti-regime protests.
