Syria forces kill 12 civilians near Damascus

Syrian security forces opened fire on funeral processions near Damascus on Saturday, killing 12 people, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

"Twelve people were killed and another 30 wounded when security forces fired on funerals in Daraya" of people killed on Friday in the town, some 20 kilometres (12 miles) south of the capital, Observatory chief Rami Abdel Rahman said.
