France's stand on Syria shameful, says Syria's deputy foreign minister

Syria's deputy foreign minister said Wednesday France's stance on the crisis was "shameful," as the French parliament was debating whether to launch a military strike on the war-ridden country.

"It's shameful that the French president... says 'if Congress approves, I go to war, otherwise I won't go', as if the French government had no say in the matter," Faisal Muqdad said in an exclusive interview with AFP.
