Brazil wants to strengthen ties with Arab world

Brazil wants to strengthen ties and cooperation with the Arab world, Foreign Minister Antonio de Aguiar Patriota said on Wednesday at the start of a two-day visit to Tunisia.

"The message I bring from the Brazilian presidency is that of Brazil's commitment to side with the Arab world and its will to share its experience in matters of mutual interest," he told a press conference at the Tunisian foreign ministry.

"We have a common will to promote bilateral trade," Tunisian Foreign Minister Rafik Abdesselam added.

Bilateral trade is currently worth S481 million (364 million euros).
