Theodore H. Kattouf

Ted joined the US Foreign Service in 1972, embarking on a 30-year career that included postings to Iraq, Kuwait, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia as well as service as US ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (1998-2001) and Syria (2001-03). Since 2003 he has served as president and CEO of Washington, DC-based AMIDEAST, a leading provider of training, educational exchange, and development services in the Middle East and North Africa. Amb. Kattouf is the recipient of the 2012 Najeeb Halaby Award for Public Service.
